# 4.1. Token Economy Overview

REC-Intranet is developed as an Ethereum DApp and tokens are based on the ERC-20/KLATN platform. If a more suitable mainnet for REC-Intranet is developed, it can be changed in the future. RET tokens are utilized to enable REC-Intranet to function properly, and they function additionally as the business expands.
